  • Very important for those who strongly want to change.

I bought the book on the recommendation of a mental health professional. She said I would see a lot of my behavior in it. After the first pages I was dumbfounded. I am still feeling the positive repercussion from all the information I read. Although I do not neatly fit in the catagory of an ACOA, I am sorry that I did not read this book 20 years ago, and I am grateful to have read this book now. I feel like changes will come and they will transform me into the man I have always wanted to be. My parents are little american success stories, both coming from extremely poor backgrounds, they overcame many personal obstacles, but were not equipped to dispense the needed parental guidance. I am a grown man with his own things to deal with. This book has helped me to see the realization that ...

  • Adult Children of Alcoholics

As the 53 year old child of an alcoholic, this book has answered questions for me about myself. It's kind of filled in the blanks about me and has been a wonderful source of information on how growing up with an alcoholic parent has affected the rest of my life. I have and will continue to recommend it to others. My deepest thanks to the author!

  • Too Soon to Review

It's a self help book and it was a gift. The book guides the user through a process of self healing. It's way to soon to determine if it's recommendable, of good value or compelling.
