    A Perfect Daily Devotional for Traditional Christian Hymn Lovers

    I have sung traditional Christian hymns my entire life. Their words and tunes are to me a very important ways of praising God and strengthening my faith. When I found this book, I was immediately interested in the stories about these hymns and of their authors and backstories. I was so impressed by this book that I found a second copy and gave it to our church organist.

    Too bad the youth of today don't hear enough of these great hymns. And now we have the stories that inspired the writing of many of our favorite hymns. And some not so familiar too. A special gift for anyone that sings in a church choir, or that just likes to sing. Can be used as a devotional also.

    I already own this book and love and appreciate it so greatly that I buy it for friends and family. I recently purchased this devotional book for a piano student of mine. It is the best way I know to learn about the classic songs of the Christian faith -- the author/composer, and why they were written. I highly recommended this book for anyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ and also loves the music of the Church. The information contained in these inspiriting hymn stories literally changed my life. This is a 10 Star Rating...not a 5!
