A poor mans price point for a quality tool that works great.
This WEN rotary tool with 1.4 amps of beast-like power, variable speed with 3 cullets, a flex shaft a few starter bits and a carry case and work light to boot gets my 5-star rating. You can not beat the price and quality on this tool. This may have bargain basement pricing but that makes it easy for guys like me on a shoestring budget to get hard working tools. I own and use a few WEN tools and this tool became a member of my shop after using it on a couple pieces of scrap while messing around in the shop to put it through its paces. It turns out this is a great tool. I never could understand why some folks give bad reviews on these WEN tools. This brand has been around a long time and sells great tool in a poor man's price range and these tools actually work and saved my bacon more ... To start with LOVE Wen tools this was my 5th tool so I'm really sad because it's junk it's very loud high tone hurts ears it won't run the flex shaft collets already stripped had to use one from my dremel the collet nut won't thread on the motor pulses at higher speeds no rubber grommets or padding on inside to dampen vibration. I'm truly in shock and highly disappointed I reach more for my other Wen tools rather than their counterparts that I have of the same type for example the mouse sander I have a black n decker and a ridgid the Wen blows them out of the water my Wen bench grinder it made me put the craftsman version in the shed to collect dust that's why I don't understand why this one is so bad. I've tried to adjust it add padding inside it use pieces from my other rotary tools and ...
