    Older gem

    Books are classic and make for a casual read. The content is mostly "generic" and uninteresting in my opinion. I love the written sentiment in the first book on the page before the actual book begins. After growing with David Eddings I sense that his fantasy was more reality based... and I prefer a more magic and bang effect.. For the time it was written it makes a unique and good enough read. I enjoyed it.

    Great book!!

    David Eddings is a fantastic author. I read this series and immediately went out and bought the next series involving Garion and his adventures. This book, and the other four in the series are must reads for any fantasy fans!
