    freezer bowl

    The idea of no salt or ice sounds very good, but there is a down side. The ice cream or sherbert hang up in the freezer bowl and is extremely difficult to get out. Maybe a trick to it, but we haven't found it yet. Trying not to waste something that I love like ice cream is a problem, and getting it out with out damage to the freezer bowl is another problem.

    Disappointing...

    This is my 2nd Cuisinart ice cream maker. I wore the 1st one out I loved it so much. (Larger 2 qt model) But this one, the ice cream is "soupy". I freeze for a longer time but top of ice cream level gets "whipped tough & bottom is soupy"... If I freeze longer then it all starts to melt & turn even more soupy. (Yes I freeze for 24+ hrs in deep freeze, not frig freezer) It doesn't seem to freeze evenly. Quite disappointing. Not sure if it's this model?? Or because I purchased a re-furbished?

    Best For First Time Ice Creamers

    Simple to use, no buttons and only 1 switch. Great recipes included. I purchased because it was the best reviewed of several tested. I would buy this Cuisinart ICE-21, again, but next time it will be a bigger capacity. The ice cream goes very fast even with only a few people.

    Best of Class

    This is the best ice cream maker for home use the we have found. We have tried them all; Waring, Hamilton Beach, the hand crank ones, etc. Not the real expensive ones however. The cost of this ice cream maker and the ease of use plus the great ice cream it delivers. makes this machine the ultimate.

    Good ice cream maker

    Easy to assemble & easy to operate. The bowl was frozen and the ingredients were cold, so the process was much quicker than expected. The ice cream turned out like soft serve. We wanted it a little harder, so put it in the freezer for a couple of hours and it turned out very good.
