    Better than glove box.

    This box is pretty good and I like the simple combination. But the locking mechanism was not tightly closing the box. It can probably be pride with a screw driver. At this price range I don't expect a brinks safe.

    Lid doesn't close completely so it rocks back and forth where pressing on it. Wish I would have waited and got something better!

    It is the perfect size for what we wanted but it isn't very good quality. I guess you get what you pay for. When locked it's not completely closed so the lid moves when you press on it. It might be locked but the fact that it doesn't close seamlessly bothers me. If I had it to do over I would not have purchased it.

    A good idea, but could be better executed -

    I purchased this as a gift and it is a good idea, but there were some problems with the item I received. The basic problem is that the combination lock sticks, requiring moving the lid side to side to release it once the proper combination is entered. I personally had no problem dealing with this, but the person for whom I purchased the gift has smaller hands and had more than a little difficulty opening it. Otherwise, the safe is well constructed and should serve its intended purpose. Still, a bit disappointing.

    decent safe for the money

    I needed a gun safe for when I travel as some states I am not licensed in. This works perfect, it keeps the firearm safe in the car and makes me legal to transport across state lines (out of reach of course) the cost makes it worth is as it need not be highly secure but a deterrent while travelling...combo is easy to change and has a cable to "tie" it down...
