    One of my favorite cookbooks!

    This is one of the cookbooks that I own.It's one of my favorites. But my copy was in such bad shape,it was almost unsanitary to have it in the kitchen!I hated to throw it out but, I finally did. And my search to replace started. I had been searching for another copy in bookstores, but couldn't find the version I wanted. That's why ordered a "like new" copy from someone on Half.com. I always use the Betty Crocker Cookbook to compare recipes in other books, to see if there are easier ways to make something. For example,I love to make soup from scratch. I was using another cookbook for a split pea soup recipe. The recipe got a little tricky, so I turned to the Betty Crocker book to clarify the recipe. The result was a very tasty split pea soup.     Betty Crocker's Cookbook by Betty Crocker (1987)

    What I love about Betty Crocker's cookbook is the creativity of the recipes, yet quite a few of them are pretty basic. The reason why I decided to buy it is because I really like Betty Crocker. My only complaint about the cookbook is that there are no photographs in it. Then again, I probably should have expected something like that because the cookbook is a paperback. I wonder if that is why Bantam stopped publishing paperback versions of Betty Crocker's cookbook after the sixth edition. The tenth edition Betty Crokcer's cookbook is now out and I haven't seen a paperback version of Betty Crocker's cookbook since the sixth edition. Overall, it is a nice cookbook, though.
