  • Best poker book I've ever read!

Let me start by saying I have not finished this book yet but completing the book will only make my current feelings stronger. This is the best poker book I've read to date. I've read many of the most popular books such as Harrington on Hold'em, The Theory of Poker, etc. Sometimes Sklansky can be boring and present very complicated theories and ideas in less than the most exciting examples. However, with the help of Malmuth and Miller, this book is very exciting. From the very begining the authors are telling you about all the dead money in low limit hold'em and they immediatly start telling you how to win that money. As I said, I've read poker books and when I was through felt like...."ok, now what? How do I apply this to my game?" That is where this book is different, they authors are ...

  • A different way to play the same game

I've played no limit hold'em, but limit is a totally different game even though it has basically the same rules. I've always steered clear of limit because "you can't make a value bet". Now I understand better how to aproach and play limit, it is very different. This book also explained a better way of playing mid-level connectors, when they are worth playing and when not, this I also apply to no limit. Excellent read to increase your understanding of Texas hold'em.

  • THE reference for making money at limit hold 'em.

Please don't buy this book. I'd prefer not to play against anyone who has read it...

  • Low Limit Holdem

Excellent, in depth, dissection of playing low limit games and what to look for in specific situations and most importantly, why. I felt all facets were covered from starting hands, thru the psychology of the game, and the end game. Most importantly, to me, I went out and made a few $'s in a limit game and won a no limit tournament with 51 players. Yes, I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to know the fine points of low limit poker.
