Product Information

His wife convicted of a murder she swears she did not commit, a college professor plots to break her out of prison in this thriller starring Russell Crowe and Liam Neeson. John Brennan (Crowe) and his wife, Lara (Elizabeth Banks), were happily married and raising a family when their lives fell apart in the blink of an eye. Lara has been charged with murder, and despite every effort to prove her innocence, the judge sentences her to an extended prison sentence. Meanwhile, on the outside, John files multiple appeals while struggling to raise their children and maintain his career. Lara's future starts to look especially grim, however, after the final appeal is rejected, and she admits that she'd rather commit suicide than spend the rest of her life behind bars. Determined to save his wife after the justice system fails her, John seeks the advice of ex-convict Damon Pennington (Liam Neeson), who staged his own daring prison escape, in order to draw up an airtight plan. Later, John prepares to put his life on the line for the woman he loves, and sets the plan into motion with the knowledge that one false move could be their last.

    Good movie SHOULD have done better at the box office

    I was VERY DISAPPOINTED this film did NOT do well at the box office. Mistake of the studio, released in the USA same day as a Harry Potter movie. I enjoyed the movie. Russell did his usual great job. Good to see Liam IF ONLY FOR 1 SCENE. Yes, you have to buy the plot of a movie that a school teacher is going to get training & skills to break his wife out of jail, etc. There are plot holes. FILM MAKERS, I DID NOT NEED THE THROW UP SCENE. Could have cut away. Russell did a song in it. I had NOT seen Brian Dennehy in ages. Been 20 years since "Presumed Innocent". And, you have to know your stuff. Trudie Styler Sting's wife is in here briefly. A bit long. The ending drug out. I will not input big spoilers here. For a DVD, glad to see some extras on it. Now, complaints on DVD ...

    The Next Three Days (DVD, 2011)

    "The Next Three Days" is a tight, hard-hitting thriller that had me on the edge of my seat throughout the movie. I really didn't know, right up to the final moments, how it would end. The actors are all good with Russell Crowe especially so, and the realistically gritty sets perfectly match the movie's desperate tone. The movie was just fantastic, and you will not regret the experience. Enjoy this one!

    Hold onto your seats for this action movie fueled by a husband's love for his wife and son!

    This has to be one of the best action movies I've seen in years. Imagine what you would do as a loving husband and father as you witnessed your wife being falsely accused and jailed for murder? The degree to which this husband went to free his wife from her incarceration is difficult at best to describe. What drew him to do such extraordinary things? The incredible love he had for his wife and son. So, get ready for a love story as well. Let me assure you there is not even one dull moment in this must-see movie!
