    Antique Iron by Kathryn McNerney

    I am just starting to take an intrest in antique cast iron items.I needed a start in what to look for and what I'm actually looking at when I walk into shops and auctions. This book has helpped me already and I just got it in the mail today. There is a auction in my area this week that has a piece i was intrested in but I had no knowledge about it. I found that piece in this book and I now know what that piece was used for years ago and the aprox. value of it now. If the book would have color pictures I would give it an excellent rating.

    Antique Iron Identification & values by Kathryn McNerny

    Good quick reference book for an assortment of antique iron items. The pictures are excellent for identification and the information regarding the item is concise and offer some historical content. The pricing may be a little out of date, however, and the book is limited to only a few pieces in each category. All together, I found the historical reference and pictorial content to be interesting and helpful in my search for these types of antiques.
