About this product

Product Information

McCoy is probably the best known of all American potteries due to the wide variety of pieces they produced since 1910. This new reference work respectfully becomes an ideal companion to our Collector's Encyclopedia of McCoy Pottery written by the Huxfords in 1980 - which has long been our bestselling pottery book. McCoy Pottery Collector's Reference and Value Guide provides even the experienced McCoy collector with new insights along with over 2,500 pieces featured in over 700 beautiful color photographs. Many pieces have never before been referenced. The authors, long-time collectors of over 5,000 pieces, present over 100 wall pockets and 35 jardiniere and pedestal sets, so popular with today's collectors. Complete lines, such as the Butterfly line, are featured as well as many gold-trimmed and matte glazed art pottery pieces, making this guide a must-have for all pottery dealers and collectors. Each item photographed is described and given a price range based on today's volatile market. 2004 values.

  • McCoy Pottery by Bob Hanson,Craig Nissen,Margaret Hanso

In what may be the Best source for identifying McCoy Pottery that is availiable to new or old collectors'. I Bid and won this excellent tomb because I have a (2006) Edition, that is a world of information and stellar photographs of prime examples of this awesome 90+year company in the State of Ohio. I wanted this (1996)Edition to compare price values, view different Ojects d'Art,and basically see if the values had changed over a 10 year period. Any Edition by these 3 Collectors'Historians'is a must for the novice or aged collector of McCoy-Nelson/McCoy-Brush/or my personal favorite just plain Vintage/Retro McCoy Pottery Company (Late 30's the decline of this legendary company by the very late 80's) If you find a copy of ANY Edition Bid/Buy/Own this AWESOME Guide. • McCoy By Any Other Name Could Still Be McCoy.

Is It The Real Thing Or Is It A Wolf In Sheep Wool? That is why you need this book. It has really big bright colorful photographs that you can search through to perhaps find that treasure you found hiding in your Grandmother's closet. McCoy put out pottery for over 70 years. The factory changed name several times in those years and the markings changed along with the changes. Also we collectors have found in all pottery and other glassware too, hat they were not always marked. Or if they were the used paper tags on a lot of there pottery. The actual dishes you cooked with and ate off of never kept there tags. Most of the time if you washed it off came the tag. This book helps you to spot styles and lines of ware they put out. The book also helps you date things and to know the colors they ...
