The spirit of a semi-dead boy makes good in this WB-network-flavored tale, which is an adaptation of the young-adult novel by Swedish author Mats Wahl. A privileged and not very well-liked senior in his Seattle high school, brooding poet Nick (Justin Chatwin) winds up fingered for ratting out tough girl Annie (Margarita Levieva) to the cops for a jewelry heist. Soon his spirit is running loose trying to connect with the people around him, but only animals seem to notice; everyone else just goes about their business. Meanwhile, his body is lying concealed in a sewer tunnel and Annie is the only one "invisible" enough to understand his pain. There's a little blood here and there but overall this little TWILIGHT ZONE-ish tale is perfectly fine for the whole family, with some moral lessons about responsibility and the importance of emotional honesty. There's enough damp Seattle mood to keep one watching, and Levieva brings a wealth of charisma and charm to her street-urchin role. Lots of great mopey alterna-rock on the soundtrack from the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, TV On the Radio, and Broken Social Scene keep the teen angst ratcheted to a sufficiently operatic high throughout.

Almost Excellant , gets a 'Good'.
I'm a horror buff and this was a good switch off. Not really scary but rather suspense. The move was a solid 'good'. OK, here we go... Eighteen-year-old Nick Powell (Justin Chatwin) has been, for reasons too convoluted to go into, left for dead. But his body’s still alive, and his spirit – stuck in limbo – continues to interact with those around him, desperately trying to communicate his existential plight before his body -hidden in a storm drain - expires. Being caught between life and death is probably a scary place, but it’s likely more compelling than depicted here. The cause of Nick’s current dilemma is Annie Newton (Margarita Levieva), a juvenile delinquent and classmate of Nick’s, whose troubled upbringing turned her into such a teen terror. To the end,it got difficult to feel much sympathy, to say nothing of any interest, for what happens to these characters. How Annie is able to hear him at the end remains a mystery. If that was explained, I may have given this an excellent. But that with a coplle of other holes lands this grade in at GOOD. Slasher movie fans, don't buy. Story orientated spooky suspense folks, Pay $5.00 with small S&H on ebay and it's worth the buy. DTD

Lackadaisically Directed by Screenwriter David Goyer, this terribly muddled adaptation of the 2002 Swedish Film "Den Osynlige" fails to generate any semblance of dramatic tension or emotional intrigue, despite the heavy-duty emoting of the cast, led by Justin Chatwin ('War of the Worlds') and Oscar Winner Marcia Gay Harden. Set in rain-swept, perpetually overcast Seattle, 'The Invisible' stars Chatwin as Nick Powell, a high school senior/budding poet viciously beaten and left for dead by Annie Newton (Margarita ... On the run from the Cops, she nonetheless senses Nick's ghostly presence hovering around her and vows "to do one good thing" and save him. However, she'll first have to deal with her accomplice/boyfriend Marcus (Alex O'Loughlin), who's got his own score to settle with Annie. A Screenwriter with an erratic track record — his credits run the quality gamut from the pulp high of 'Batman Begins' to the rock-bottom low of 'The Puppet Masters' — Goyer cannot shape the meandering and hazily plotted mess of Mick Davis and Christine Roum's screenplay into a coherent, tautly paced narrative. Nick's race against the clock runs parallel with Annie's quest for redemption, but their stories are so clumsily integrated, and strewn with laughable improbabilities and soap operatic clichés, that we cease to care whether the spectacularly inept Seattle Police Detectives find his body in time. Goyer attempts to gloss over 'The Invisible's' many narrative deficiencies, and ratchet up the film's Gen-Y appeal, by plastering the soundtrack with emo-rock songs, typically in montage sequences, but it's a directorial choice seemingly born of desperation. A heavy reliance on pointless montage sequences to push the dawdling narrative forward, combined with the preponderance of trite, psychobabble reduce an eerily intriguing idea for a character-driven supernatural thriller to just another mopey wallow in teen angst. This Movie Never Should've Happened !! Save Yourself !!

whoever say's this movies is BAD, needs their heads checked!! this movie is one of the few great movies out their NOW!! 4get what the bad critics say & make your own opinion, trust me you will NOT be DISAPPOINTED in anyway!! I've watched it so much, that i've ruined 2 dvd's & had to get a 3rd!! it's worth your time & trust me, its an EXCELLENT one, NOT to mention the AWESOME soundtrack to it as well:0) good luck & enjoy the movie:0) if you know where the find the soundtrack, PLEASE-PLEASE let me know, i've been looking everywhere for it...oh, bring a box a tissues too, for some of the scenes, but for the most part, it's action & does make you think of how you interact with your own families...afterwards, take a reflection on your own life, see how it compaires...ENJOY and have a great ... whoever say's this movies is BAD, needs their heads checked!! this movie is one of the few great movies out their NOW!! 4get what the bad critics say & make your own opinion, trust me you will NOT be DISAPPOINTED in anyway!! An eye-opener to those around us who cannot be seen
This movie is absolutely awesome. I suggest when viewing the film, make sure you already have your popcorn & snacks because you do not want to miss any of it. The movie not only paints how honorable it is to have friends, but how being a friend is a treasure. I have watched this film approximately 15 times since I received it a couple of weeks ago. Viewers will become entranced by the drama, as well as the unknown. This film may scare the living daylights out of young children and possibly some adults. It is not near as confusing as the Sixth Sense, however, it was written with the same type of intention. The film may open up the minds of disbelievers to understand and realize that not all is what is seems in life. I loved it and hope you will too!! 10**********!! It is ...
