About this product

Product Information

Jim Cramer, host of CNBC's Mad Money and bestselling author and financial guru, offers specific advice about how to overcome your fear of the markets and put your investments back on track to recover from the financial debacle of 2008-2009. You don't even look at your 401(k) statements any longer. When mail comes from your broker or your mutual fund, you throw it in a drawer unopened. You know how bad things are and you're just waiting for them to improve before you start thinking about your money again. But how long will that take? How many opportunities will you miss while you hide your head in the sand? Shouldn't you be doing something? Jim Cramer says that there are positive steps you can take to start the financial healing process. You can start to get back to even, then go from there. Cramer explains how to make the best of the bad situation you're in, and how not to succumb to fear and panic. He tell you what steps to take depending on your age and your financial goals. Getting Back to Even will include advice on refinancing a mortgage, recovering from job loss or downsizing, and making a new financial plan. It will include twenty new rules for investing that fit the current economic climate. Jim Cramer believes that the stock market is still the best long-term investment anyone can make. He'll offer guidance on which stocks to select, or how to find a reliable and successful mutual-fund manager, and how to spot the economic recovery when it happens. Whether you're 25 and investing to build wealth or 65 and hoping to restore your retirement savings, you'll need the advice Jim Cramer offers in Getting Back to Even.

    Getting back to even

It’s a good book especially for the cost. I need to get better and smarter and this book has lots of info and ideas. As the title says getting back to even applies to me as I have lost big time and going to rebuild again with better and safer strategies

  • The text version of Mad Money 2012

OK, homegamers, if you gotten to this point you're probably a hard core Mad Money on CNBC fan. This is Jim Cramer's latest book (as of Sept 2012) that he refers to often on the show. It is quite readable but there are couple of chapters on options toward the end of the book that will grow hair on your chest. If they are beyond you don't worry because I believe you can do quite well investing using the rest of the information he provides. If the boo-yahs and sound effects on the program put you off, this is a good place to get the straight scoop from him without any distractions. I was used to quiet shows like Wall Street Week and then Nightly Business Report with the great Paul Kangas so I was initially aghast when I first surfed past Mad Money. One night I decided to listen to a complete ...

  • Fast service, could not tell from new, good price.

Very good book for those just getting into stocks or those tweaking the mindset of stock trading. I bought it on the dip, low price....Wealth of information on stock trading in all aspects of trading and investing. I bought for his insite on dividend stocks but I enjoyed his views on all of it. I would purchase more of his books on ebay. Better price, same info, and very helpful to the bottom line. Stock trading has a lot of x factors in how you can loose. The more you know the better.

  • Getting back toeven

Although written years ago, many of the principles still apply. My interest was how to play the options.

This is a great book. Cramer is a genius and hes genuinely trying to help you get back to even. He even picks stocks for the next couple of years and tells you to follow him. you read this and watch his tv show mad money. for once you're not alone.
