      Buy this for yourself, and your girls!

      I checked this book out from the library, along with many other hair books. This one shined like no other! I had to buy it to have for reference every day for myself and my two girls, who all three of us have long hair. It is written for girls, but even if you don't have kids, this is excellent for new, easy hairstyles for any female. I especially liked their tips on washing and care for different hair types. This is full of different tips and ideas. I recommend it for any female, whatever length of hair, it does have quite a few ideas for shorter hair, too. A MUST BUY!

      Useful for Anyone with Hair!

      Uses nice photos of girls who look like everyday children, not models. Clear diagrams and good written instructions. Various levels of difficulty. Recommends using hair spray several times, and wearing some styles requires the use of hairpins or bobby pins. A few styles are odd, but most wouldn't draw stares. Written in cheerful prose intended for tweens, this is a fun read. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to create hairstyles that look very difficult. I look forward to sharing this with a friend who also has longer hair, because although we're far older than the target audience, we'll have fun with this!

      Great content easy to follow instructions

      This American Girl book is over hair and The Styling tips and tricks or age-appropriate and fantastic. The styles are not only age appropriate but super cute! The instructions or pictorial instructions and easy to read and follow. The content is in words that a child around 11 or 12 will understand. Lots of styles to choose from and I'm glad I got this for my daughter she will love it.

      Great Book!

      I bought this book for my young daughter. It has great photos and illustrations to follow. I've gotten many ideas from the book that I wouldn't have come up with on my own. I especially liked the sections on "Quiz: Hair-Brained Ideas?" and "Haircut Corner". As a former hairstylist, I thought it gave excellent and accurate advice. One thing that I didn't like about this book is that is primarily for longer hair. My daughter's hair is just past her shoulders, so many of these styles will have to wait. I would definitely recommend this book if you feel at a loss of what to do with your daughter's hair on a daily basis.
