      Basics plus vintage recipes

      My Better Homes and Gardens Canning Cook Book (1973)

      This is a canning book that my mother used. It has wonderful pickle recipes in it, along with some great jam and jelly recipes. My sisters also use it and it seems like a toss up on who was going to get moms canning book for the season. I decided to take a stab in the dark and see if I could find it on eBay. I was fortunate enough to find it and win a bid on it. Now I don't have to worry if Iam going to be able to get it for the season, I have my own. It is one of the best canning books I have ever used.

      Love this book!

      I replaced a Home Canning Cook Book with an new book of the same content. I really love the contents, Older recipes with clear directions for canning, freezing and methods.

      book isn't even half canning recipes. most are regular recipes. and the canning recipes in there are nothing to write home about. expected better from BHG
