  • Fiction Masquerading as Nonfiction, Masquerading Voyeurism! :-(

I found this book to be poorly written. I found it hard to believe that descriptions such as when the main character, convicted murderer Ricky Lee Green was a small boy working on his Grandpa's farm "Tugged at the bottom of his tan overalls that had crept into the crack of his tiny buttocks" to be believable or revelant to the story. Thoughts of all characters were written as if accurate. How could this author know what all these simple peoples factually thought? Graphic detailed sexual encounters were unnecessary to convey the idea. Pornography involving actual acts of pedophelia, incest, bisexuality and homosexuality, topics better left less explicit. Surely these people were of low birth, but if a better writer had at least edited this tripe, I might not ...

  • Simply ok

I actually haven't finished the book. I only bought the book to see if something that I was told was in it was. I don't think it is. I've lived in Decatur, Tx. all my life. I graduated in 87. I vaguely remember it. That whole situation is sad. The book was simply ok
