    Supersonic Sabbath!

The Black Box Sabbath set holds its own sonically and in some cases used superior source material. The book is above average for these type of sets and theres a dvd included. Yes, there are deluxe editions out now, but this set rocks and edges out other releases i own easily. If you're a Black Sabbath fan and dont own this you are missing out.

  • Excellent. Very good presentation. Much better than what is seen in the photo

The CDs sound great, except for CD 1 at THE END that sounds like drizzle. The box has an exquisite presentation and a spectacular sound to enjoy all the stages of the band. Even Tony Martin is that I must be the only person who considers her the best in the band. In summary. Is it worth the investment. insurance

  • Black Box: The Complete Original Black Sabbath

I bought this due to its importance to hard rock music. Any fan of Black Sabbath or hard rock would not be disappointed with this box set. The cds themselves are packaged in their own jackets with the original artwork and(as far as I know)play order. The cds sound great. Ozzys vocals are clear. Tonys guitar work is larger than life. Geezers bass is exactly where it should be in the mix. Bills drums are precise and clear. The dark sound of the band is captured perfectly. The booklet included is a black mini book covered in a suede/velvet like material. It includes a history of the band and a bonus dvd of a live performance. Plenty of pictures of the group. Many I had never seen before. The outside of the box is classic. Just black with black lettering. Very cool. If you are considering ...

  • Black Sabbath Black Box

I've been a Black Sabbath fan since 1971 when a I was a kid and first heard Sabbath's 1st, 2nd and 3rd albums: Black Sabbath, Paranoid and Master of Reality. My friend had the Black Sabbath and Master of Reality albums, and my 16-year-old sister had the Paranoid album. I was 11 and listened to all three albums, over and over again. That's about when I got my first guitar, and I was hooked... Then, I bought Volume 4 and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (a biggie for me), and Sabotage. I was also becoming a huge Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd fan at the time (about 1974-1975), and all my summer work money was going to what is now Classic Rock (but I loved it all, from Bowie and the NY Dolls to Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Who, Kiss, Zeppelin...). I've only Black Sabbath live ...

  • The Black Box -the original Black sabbath

when Black sabbath appeared in 1970, with their first album, they made the blue print for heavy metal..sinister themes, loud guitars and Ozzys uniqe singing. that went against the 70s flower power trend. the critics hated it, but sabbath endured. Black sabbaths second album "paranoid" was a crushing album in its day, it had gems as "war pigs" and "electric funeral" no band in the 70s could match the raw power of black sabbath, with the exception of led Zeppelin. alot of well known metal bands of today like Rob zombie, Glen danzig, and Judas priest to metallica will cite Black Sabbath as in influence. you can hear the echo of black sabbath in those 90s "grunge" bands soundgarden and alice in chains. the sound quality of this Box set is great, put away those cassettes..forget those noisy 8 ...
