    Eventually Worked

    Since this was an old unit and may not have been used for quite a while there were some problems. I wouldn't charge at first but eventually did. Had much trouble downloading new maps and updates. But got working now and quite happy with it. Has a lot of features that my previous one did not have. Like that I can keep track of gas mileage and other things.

    easy to use/learn, nice features

    I really like this model, lots of useful features,very simple,intuitive layout. all the Nuvi line has a weak spot-- the power plug, if you unplug a lot they tend to loose their connection to the circuit board. I've seen this 3 times myself. the solution is to buy a short extension cable & tape it to the back of the unit. that way the cord might wear/break but not the main connector. be careful to buy the angle,size,shape plugs @ both ends you need to hook up the existing power cord & fit in your mount. only a couple bucks each on ebay or amazon.

    Nice product

    I haven't gotten to use the gps yet other than updating it. I like that it has a sd card slot for extra storage thence why I had to purchase a new gps (old one would no longer hold the entire map of the USA.

    Great routing feature

    I started working for the USPS making parcel deliveries. I was unfamiliar with the area. The routing feature made my job a lot easier. You just enter the addresses and the Garmin creates an efficient route. The large screen is a big help also.

    Works on my boat great!!

    Use this on my boat on a large lake.It leaves a dotted track behind you that is great for a boat at night to follow back home.you can delete the track every time going into tools & deleting trip data..
