  • Excellant book...waiting for the movie

It has been several years since I've read this book. I am, once again, enjoying it. I was happy to see on ebay that Anne and her son wrote a follow-up. I picked up both. Fans of her Vampire books may recall that Ramses is mentioned in atleast one of this books (if i recall correctly, not by name)...nice way to tie the books together and the two worlds together. I do hope someone makes this book into a movie.

  • I was Forced to read it... now I want more!!!!

I want to start by admitting I was given this book as a gift. I had no desire to read it at all, but was forced to read it by an old girlfriend who just loved every single word Anne Rice ever put to paper. I had never read anything by Anne Rice before this. Her whole series of erotic novels just didn't sound my style and, while I enjoyed the movie version of Interview with a Vampire, the very thought of getting involved with the exceedingly long Vampire Chronicles series made me sleepy. With those two examples of Anne Rice in my mind I picked up 'The Mummy' ready for an instant cure of my Insomnia... I was never more pleasantly surprised. I can't give too much of the plot away without destroying the book for future readers, but the story follows many different characters in the events ...

  • The mummy

I love this book! It's a great book to read! I haven't read it in awhile. I highly recommend this book!

  • Very befitting this new series' direction.

Ms. Rice has again brought new life to a legendary story that has, to some extent, be rather beleaguered over he years. Her sense of passion for the "macabre" has helped to revive and stimulate new direction into the tale of this particular section of Egyptian mythology. As with the Vampiric saga of the undead, the eternal spectre of the ressurected Mummy etertains with chilling effect.
