    Before The Go-Go's Documentary, There Was "Behind The Music".

    This 2000 collection of musical tracks from VH-1's "Behind The Music" series features the 1980's rock group The Go-Go's. Released twenty years before the much excellent documentary of this legendary quintet, this compilation features seventeen of their well known songs, including the hit singles from their first three studio albums when they were under contract with I.R.S. Records. The compact disc also include a very informative insight and historical background on the group themselves, and most of the text seem more or less to correspond with a VH-1 television special spotlighting their successes, triumphs, failures, internal struggles and personal issues over the years. By all means not the definitive compilation of their musical output, as there have been two previous ones issued ...
