  • Osler's Web

Alot of book here, a fairly thorough history of an epidemic known now as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, now associated with Fibromyalgia. Lots of details of patient histories presenting with the sigs and symptoms of the disorder in the beginning of the Eighties, which was surfacing in the USA simultaneously with another disease later known as AIDS and HIV. Unfortunately the money and majority of research was first alotted to the aids study and chronic fatigue was left in the dust, and is still not acknowledged by all medical professionals as an actual physical disorder. This book I imagine would appeal mostly to patients with this disorder, researchers, students of medicine. There are medical terms but it is not beyond a laymen to understand what your reading.

  • Chronic fatigue syndrome is REAL.

CFS ruins lives and MUST be better funded for better research. It is time for a Comprehensive review of what is being done is what is needed. Columbia University NY is on the leading edge of understanding. The University of Utah is in the forefront of meaningless lip service to this disease. What is the CDC doing to shed light and promote progress?
