    Hasegawa 1/48 F4J Hi-Grade

    This is another good phantom kit from the boys at Hasegawa. It has metal parts, rubber tires,,diecast parts for the cockpit. The only complaint I have is that the model has raised line details, they have slipped these in on many reissue F4’s . What I do is , I have made a short straight edge out of card plastic, and I use a scribing tool to engrave along these lines. Then I use the same scriber as a pick to add riveting, this is very tedious and not for the beginner. I do all the lines on the fuselage, and some on the top of the wings, it will take about three hours to do all that. But if you take your time it will look impressive! I built this particular model back in 1987 , and after being in storage for many years, it now needs restoring, which I will soon. So go ahead and get yourself ...
