    Pirates: On Stranger Tides

    This last movie in Pirates franchise is a little weak on plot and character but is still good fun nonetheless. I thought Black Beard wasn't as enjoyable a villain as Barbossa partly due to his frank evilness. On the whole the sort of innocent fun of the first movie which managed to seep into the next two films is not as evident here. Oh well, the kids like it and that's what really matters.

    In the fourth installment of the popular Pirates films, Jack (Johnny Depp) and his mates are in search of the ever-elusive fountain of youth. He soon runs into an old flame, Angelica (Penélope Cruz) and discovers that she and her father, Blackbeard (Ian McShane), are also headed for the fountain. And they aren’t the only ones… I was dying to see this movie the weekend it was released, but while my kids are still so young, it is essentially impossible to see a movie in the actual theater! Thank goodness for our local drive-in. I’ll start with the bad news. This plot/script was the hardest to follow of all the Pirates movies. I don’t know what it was they did differently, but there were several times I had to stop and ask myself exactly what was going on. For one thing, there are several ...

    Decent film POOR BLU-RAY & WHERE ARE THE DVD’S

    Well, here I go again with the comments I have been forced to input since fall 2009. What is Disney thinking? This Release ONLY blu-ray packages BUT we DVD people have to sit & wait for that package? Terrible. I hope Disney loses a lot of money again because of this idiot choice. I can NOT afford regular DVD's, how can I afford blu-rays? The film is decent. Jumps around is she or isn't she with Cruz. At least she can say she has a hit box office movie now. The changing of the Rush's character. Been in all the films but they keep messing with the character. And, his character was NOT even spoken of on the promotional information on the case. It is okay to surprise your audience, but the story jumps EVERY TWO SECONDS get to be a bit ...

    a series must

    Although this is a must see before the new release its worth seeing even if its not the best one. The characters are still as good as always but the story line was unusual and seemed out of place did miss Orland Bloom.
