Received this excellent film very promptly, in very good condition as advertised, and thoughtfully packaged for safe shipping. I like that this seller posted actual photos of my item as I have unpleasant surprises purchasing from stock photos so try to avoid it. Very positive buying experience. Repeat customer and hope to purchase again. Highly recommend this reliable seller!

    Live Alive!

These folks know how to challenge themselves, singing music I've never heard! Avant-garde to familiar songs, all utilizing vocal skills for soloists and choral group. The conductor, much younger, is patient, yet relentless in his perfection of the performance quality of the group. Happy, sad, joyous, glad, enjoy every minute.

  • Young At Heart - an uplifting, memorable movie

Young At Heart is a must-see film for anyone who loves music. This documentary focuses on a singing group's preparation for an upcoming tour, documenting the initial song choices, rehearsals, challenges, and triumphs. The unique characteristics of this particular bunch of singers are that the average age in the group is 80, and that the repertoire of songs consists of alternative and punk rock music, such as The Ramones, "I Wanna Be Sedated," and David Bowie's, "Golden Years." At the beginning of the film you will definitely find amusement at the behavior of the singers and their situation - "Senior Citizens Do Sonic Youth." However, as you become engaged in their process, and ultimately become completely engrossed and emotionally touched by the ...

  • Worth buying I’ll watch it again and again.

Young at heart is about a group of senior citizens singing popular rock n roll songs from groups like LED Zeppelin,James Brown and Coldplay. I think they have to be over 80 to join. It’s great to see a bunch of senior citizens doing something that they really enjoyed,. It stirred many emotions, laughter, sadness and happiness. They gave it everything they had in them even up to the end of their life for some of them. It gave them something to live for and probably extended their lives. I really enjoyed it and highly recommended it.

  • Young@Heart DVD

What a fantastic film!! I heard about it from friends who like to sing. It's a brilliantly made documentary that brings many characters to life. Not sentimental or corny, but moving. Shows elderly people as individual people, with quirks and personalities. Not about some old people badly singing some old-fashioned music. They do contemporary songs, which seem perfectly suited to them as performers. The director of the choir gears the songs to their abilities and lack thereof -- the result is joyful and deeply touching. It's a great film because the Young@Heart project is such a fantastic idea. The film director does it complete justice.

  • Young @ Heart

What an uplifting film! More movies need to be like this one! For once, it was great to see average human beings overcoming so many obstacles to achieve a common goal. If you don't cry during the song 'Forever Young,' your heart is made of stone! All of us will have to face our elderly years in the future; I just hope I can do it with the compassion of the characters in the film. Whenever I hear 'Forever Young' in the future, I will always remember this film and the its priceless message. Rent it..... Buy it...... It will make you 'forever young'!
