    Love Thunder Cake!

    Read this as a child with my mom I'm absolutely love this story! Just got this for my baby girl and we will do the same I will read it with her just as my mom read it with me. Brings back memories to my childhood and when we actually made the Thunder Cake following the recipe inside look forward to doing that with my daughter. And I am sure she will enjoy this book just as much as we did. Would highly recommend this book to any mother and child!

    Thunder Cake

    All of her books are WONDER-full! Because I am a grandma with goats and chickens and rabbits and living in Michigan just like her babushka in this story, there is a real connection.From the oldest to the youngest members of my family enjoy her books. Reading them in sequence gives you the story of the authors life. She is gifted when sharing the emotional ups and downs of her life. She shares her parents divorce in such a matter of fact way that the reader sees and believes that their family can survive this too. Pat shares insights into her Russian heritage. I especially liker seeing Icons on shelves in the farmhouse. I too have Icons. All of her books fill one with the hope that all will be well.
