The Cisco Catalyst switch enhances worker productivity by enabling applications such as video, wireless connectivity, and IP telephony. The Cisco TwinGig Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) converter module further protects the investment in the Cisco Catalyst 3750e switch products by enabling migration from to 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks as needed without having to upgrade the entire switching system.The Cisco WS-C3750E-24TD-S is a high-level switch hardware scaled for midsized organizations, data centers, small offices, and enterprise branch offices. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-E switch series improves user productivity as it eases deployment and adapts to changing business needs by allowing flexibility during configuration. These 3750-E switches are also ideal for businesses such as CCIE R&S labs, supporting all the features needed including IPv6. The Catalyst 3750-E has a single modular power supply with externally available backup. Users may purchase additional accessories to allow the unit to become a dual-power model. Built-in out-of-band Ethernet management and an RS 232 console port add to the system’s functionality.It is particularly useful that other models of Catalyst switches are fully compatible with the Cisco Catalyst 3750e series Switches. As such, customers can combine them and maximize their equipment investment dollars by using the Cisco Catalyst family of switches. The Cisco Catalyst ws-c3750e-24td-s is available with either the IP Base set or the IP Services feature set. The IP Base equipment includes basic static and Routing Information Protocol (RIP) capability, advanced quality of service (QoS), ACLs, a suite of security features, and rate-limiting. It supports IPv6 and access control list (ACL) in its hardware. The core set is perfectly adequate for most small business and office settings.Larger enterprises will appreciate the IP Services feature set, which provides more enterprise-class options. These upgraded features include Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Mid-sized companies will appreciate the extra 10G ports for NAS and SAN functionality. In all, there are 48 ports with 15.4W of PoE configuration.

    Perfect CCIE Lab Switches

    The 3750-E switches are great for a CCIE R&S lab, supporting all the features needed as near as I can tell, including IPv6. They can be found for a reasonable price but you may have to load the correct image for the feature support. They are much quieter than the 3560's I replaced. While virtual routers work ok, for the switches in my opinion you need the real thing to get all the features you need to practice with.

    Great Product! Great Seller!

    I upgraded my c3750G for the c3750e and am not disappointed. The extra 10G ports are fantastic for NAS/SAN and the pricepoint is perfect. This product only had IPBase license, but this is all I really need for my home lab. Would recommend both product and seller.
