    of its time in the best way

    Helen Gurley Brown basically invented the dishy, conversational, "we're best friends" copy writing style that is now ubiquitous and no one does it better. The 60's anachronisms- everything from the outrageously sexist presumptions to the hilarious slang-- will make your jaw drop but there are some words of honest to God wisdom as well. A great one.
