About this product

Product Information

The Bar Method is a fitness program designed to produce the slim, defined body of a dancer without the use of any expensive exercise equipment. Instead, instructor Burr Leonard guides the viewer through a series of precise exercises that can be achieved with a simple piece of sturdy furniture. These highly effective movements result in elongated legs, lifted buttocks, and defined abdominals. This volume focuses on burning away the fat that can obscure the shape of muscles, offering a succession of small, subtle moves that reshape, tighten, and energize all the major muscle groups.

This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is in better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely with his customers. I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you.

Item is complete and 100% as described. Shipping was reasonable and item packaged well and arrived 100% intact though-out the shipping process. I would purchase from this seller again! Note: My 3 star rating for seller communications is due to the fact the seller and I did not communicate outside the simple transaction. I am sure that the seller would communicate well if the need existed. The "3 Star" rating on communication in no way applies to the seller. It represents a "Null" value.

Good Ole Decluttr Store. I've been buying from them for many years. They have 100% feedback with me (lesser feedback on eBay probably due to whiny complainers under age 40 - getalife.com). Items always well priced, exactly as described, well packed, shipped promptly with FREE Shipping. Never once have I given <100% grade. Will continue to fill my music library with Decluttr Stores help! A+, Excellent eBay store!

  • This is a great workout for your legs and bum

I was looking for a workout to tone my legs, and I decided to buy this workout video because every single one of the reviews about this workout video were very positive. This is a good workout video for many reasons: 1)It is not cheesy 2)there is pleasant background music 3)she explains the moves as she does them, so it is easy to follow 4)she keeps moving from one exercise to the next, so you don't have time to think about how hard you're working 5) it is effective - I am in fairly good shape and do other types of working out, but I can definitely feel my muscles working and can feel it the next day - it is good to wake up those muscles!

  • Crazy about the Bar Method - Fat Free

I decided to purchase this exercise tape because I needed something to supplement my aerobic workout. The 45 minute workout has very subtle but tough moves, at least at first, but becomes easier every time I do it. I've been using it faithfully for about 4 weeks (3 times a week) and can feel and see a difference. My stomach is stronger and flatter and my arms are showing a bit of definition. Since I am actually using this, I am considering purchasing the companion tape, The Bar Method - Designer Sculpting. The instuctor, Burr Leonard, who is in her late 50's, has a very inspiring figure. The only negative comment I can make about the workout is that there is a little too much explanation between moves once you are familiar with the program.

  • A wonderful toning workout!

This is a simply fantastic workout! For the most part, I am not crazy about workout DVD's - they are usually too simple and ineffective, or so complicated, that the fun and benefits are lost! This however, is a fresh change! As an avid swimmer and Yoga practitioner, I was looking to add one more element to my workout that was strengthening and toning - and this is it!! It is only 45 minutes duration which is very easy to incorporate into even the busiest of schedules! And simple - the exercises are clearly explained; easy to master - but you feel it working, bith during and after each workout! This combines aspects of a dancer workout - primarily ballet, with some basic Yoga moves- the goal being to tighten and define the body, particular the major muscle groups - thighs, seat and ...

  • Bar Method

I love the DVD's and they are so difficult to find, I was lucky to find the set. I have done other workouts for years, but they don't even compare to this one. I've seen results within weeks and without all the jumping around of aerobics, AND you don't need a lot of equipment. You use your own body weight to work out. VERY EFFECTIVE! LOVE IT! I have introduced my sister and several friends to this workout and they are excited about it and have seen results quickly as well. THANK YOU, BURR!!! Keep up the good work!

  • Would purchase again

I have heard of this workout before from Head T-Tapp Trainer, Lani Muelrath. I am very glad that I purchased this. I do own a ballet barre, but it is not necessary since a sturdy chair will work. This method works and stretches every major muscle group to develope a lean, dancers body. Alot of workouts I do not enjoy (and gave up over the last 20 years)The time, for me flies by...and it doesn't seem like 45min. This is no-impact, and follows a natural progression (ie: when your back needs a stretch, then she does it next)I am very confident that if I stick with this, I will get what is promised. There is a portion where her voice is 'turned off' but her mouth moves, once you have the sequences down. This reminds me of the 80's Callenetics workout also.
