    Very Good Sci-Fi Alien Movie

Old fashion 50's like movie with a good storyline and plot. The alien was realistic and the acting was cool, as well.

  • If you loved '50s sci-fi, you'll love this homage to the art!

Watch the Skys! The BEM (Bug Eyed Monster) is on the loose! This film is a direct to DVD special made by X-Files director R. W. Goodwin The X-Files - The Complete First Season (Slim Set) . The DVD is great because it has mockumentary interviews with the "stars" of the "long lost" archived film from 1957, with your host, Edwin R. Burroughs (five points for a correct guess as to whom they're mocking). Several points are made that do not make this a parody, but more a laugh out loud commentary on the period of the 1950s (if you ignore the Korean War, nuclear threat or teenage rebellion) as an optimistic time. The movie is a homage of sorts, written to emulate such classics as It Came from Outer Space, The Day The Earth Stood Still and War of the Worlds. The professor/astronomer (played by ...

  • Spoofing Science Fiction Movies from the 1950s/

Alien Trespass spooks the 1950s Syfy movies, such as War of the Worlds, It Came From Outer Space, and The Day the Earth Stood Still. If you have seen these movies, you will get a big kick out of the cast members and special (?) effects used to spoof them. Eric McCormick of Will and Grace fame plays 2 parts, a scientist who goes to check out the fallen meteorite, and the Visitor (from The Day the Earth Stood Still) in a full silver suit! The creature has one eye and mimics the bubble effect of It Came From Outer Space. Also appearing is Robert Patrick as an obnoxious police officer. The movie did a great job. The film is outstanding in bright color mimicking technicolor.

  • Boldly going where B-movies have gone before!

Fans of classic science fiction movies from the 1950's are bound to enjoy this feature, which includes a 'mock-u-mentary' introduction, claiming that the film is from those early days of sci-fi cinema. Eric McCormack (Will & Grace)and Jenni Baird (4400)head up an ensemble cast of TV notables in a classic tale of about a horrifying alien monster on the loose in a remote little town, while a galactic marshal (in the guise of a local professor) attempts to stop it. True to the its classic 'B-Movie' inspiration, "Alien Trespass" is hardly oscar-worthy fare, nor is it thought-provoking or insightful. It IS an entertaining 'popcorn movie' which pays proper homage to the film-makers of yesteryear's schlock.

  • "B"eutifully Done

I grew up with "B" Sci-Fi movies, this does not disappoint. The characters are very well cast, the colors are striking, it is a fun watch.
