To meet existing and emerging network requirements, the FES delivers a full complement of standards-based, feature-rich switching and Layer 3 multi-protocol routing capabilities, comprehensive hardware and software redundancy, complete QoS controls including prioritization and rate limiting, standard and extended ACLs, integrated Copper Gigabit Ethernet ports, and more. The extensive feature set supports network requirements ranging from basic connectivity to multicast-enabled full streaming audio/video applications for converged services including Voice over IP (VoIP).The FES4802 has 48 10/100 Base-TX ports and two copper and fiber Gigabit Ethernet ports. Two of the ports can be active simultaneously to provide redundant 1 Gb/sec links to a server or a backbone uplink. It also features Full Layer 2 & Base Layer 3 Switching, and one hot-swappable, field replaceable AC power supply.

Item was as described. Shipping was excellent- product packed perfectly in case package was mishandled by shipping company. Handling cost was through the roof. That is my only complaint and one I can live with. Would I purchase from this seller again? Yes, without doubt. I simply want other buyers to be aware of this seller's handling fees. They have reasonable prices and ship extremely well. 4 stars for communication as I mentioned a few things that were not addressed- room for improvement.

Unit was in excellent condition and exactly as described. I have test-operated it (it is to be a backup for another one that I have) and all is fine. The seller's packaging is extremely professional -- the item was very well protected. Five stars for packaging! My only "complaint" is that the seller insists on using UPS which costs nearly twice as much as USPS flat rate box (and UPS is less safe then USPS to my PO box). However, if I needed another one, I would buy from this seller again.
