Love conquers all...
This story appeals to science fiction addicts and romantics alike. It is the story of Henry and of his unique time-traveling abilities. The author explains it as a glitch in his DNA structure and how it affects those around him (family, friends, and loved ones). It was a riveting read from start to finish especially when his true-love Clare is added to the mix. You will go on a wild ride with Henry traveling into the future and in the past. It was interesting having the older Henry explaining things to the younger Henry and spending time with Clare at age 6, etc. The reader will get caught up in the tale and the author tells it brilliantly. At times it will make you laugh out loud...and other times grab for the Kleenex. Watch for ALBA, she is the special someone in this tale. A great pick ... Everyone Needs More TIME
I bought this book because a friend told me that it is one of her all-time favorites... and I can now see why! I like books that are unpredictable, and this is certainly one of those. And, since I am sentimental - this one got to me on that level too. I was impressed by the author's honesty and reality when explaining the frustration of dealing with everything from disappearing soul-mates, to conception and miscarrage issues. This book is well written (if a little long)... and I would pass it along to any of my girlfriends who want to get lost in a story for a while! Superb book that makes you think
I read this book over a period of about 2 weeks. It is an excellent time travel book with a different spin. I watched the movie over 2 nights after I read the book. It was not as good as the book. You will need a box of tissues for the last 100 pages. I so enjoyed the book that I have now gotten from eBay Audrey Niffenegger's second book. I have not started reading it yet though. This is one of those books that you tell others about. My daughter already read it once and now has my copy to read it again. I also plan to loan it to another person that wants to read it. Did I just really read a chick book?
I swear when I picked up this book at my local library, I had no idea it would turn out to be a chick book. Reading the front flap it sounded like an awesome time traveling book. Even as I was reading it, the term chick book, didn't even occur to me; I was totally immersed in Henry's adventures in time. It turned out to be one of my most favorite books of all time (right up there with the DaVinci Code.) It actually wasn't until the movie came out that I said to myself,"Did I just really read a chick book?" and came to the conclusion, no, I just really read an AWESOME book.I swear when I picked up this book at my local library, I had no idea it would turn out to be a chick book. If you like any Sci-Fi Love Stories, you'll love this.
Wonderful book, about how love can find you in some weird, incredibly unique (Even if impossible) ways. The romance and deep, true love in this book is breath taking. I love this book because it shows how finding your true love is possible, and then the life after that. Through struggles, and hardships. This is an amazing book, just give it a chance, I'm sure you'll like it.
