    Walking w/ Dinos book-- paper version of movies

    I bought this book because my son loves the Walking with Dinosaur series. I thought that this might have some good pictures and additional info that would suppliment the movies that he has seen, I was mistaken. The book is pretty much the script for the Walking with Dinosaur series of films. The pictures in it are stills from the same movies. The information is easy to read and very informative, but is in prose format. This is good if the person you are buying this for can read on their own, or has a long attention span. My son is 4 and we get through about 2 paragraphs before he starts asking questions about a photo on the page. I like that he is interactive with me while reading, but getting the ideas across to him need more time than his attention will allow at this stage. I do ...

    excellent teaching aid

    My grandson had this book in school along with the movies. He learned so much and loved them. Now my Great Granddaughter is fascinated with dinosaurs and I felt this would be excellent for her. She is enthralled with the book. The pictures, the descriptions, and history about each creature. I would recommend this book and the dvd's for any educational program.

    A good purchase

    My little guy loves for me to read this book to him. the pictures are great and the passages are easy to follow. The book itself is written at about a junior high level but younger kids will love the pictures.
