Great buy on the 1st 10 post Dorsey years of Sinatra
A great value when I purchased this item. My collection of Sinatra for the first ten years post Tommy Dorsey was thin. This collection certainly filled it in, completely. Sinatra’s voice is a little thin in spots during this era and it shows more without Dorsey backing him up, but it’s a fine collection. I consider the few years he spent with Dorsey his best mostly for the selection of tunes recorded. Dorsey seemed to have a better knack for picking good tunes. Over all this is a very good anthology and one every Sinatra listener should have in their collection. The package comes with a book detailing his career during this era and a list of the tunes with dates released and other necessary information for the true collector.A great value when I purchased this item. T Best of the Columbia Years
Sinatra has always been one of my favorite singers. As a kid I didn't listen to Elvis. I listened to Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Joni James and Classical as well as operas. My father played classical guitar and taught me to play and appreciate the best in music. Thanks, Gus

They were Very Good Years.
Between this Collection and Sinatra's years with Tommy Dorsey it's a difficult choice. This set of recordings has only 4 CDs however, there are other sets with all of his recordings with Columbia.
