    Timeless Soul

    There's been a fair share of soul revivalists since Remy released this album early into the 21st century, and most are excellent reproducers of sounds long past. Often, they focus on a particular era- 60s, 70s or 80s. But Remy Shand does more than reproduce. He combines elements of all those eras with his own unique, easy-going spin, thereby sounding both modern and familiar, while never coming across dated or cliched. Sometimes smooth and down-tempo, other times funky, the whole disk is relaxing and fun. Recommended. And also check out his stuff after this album, available for download-- the creativity didn't stop here.

    everything was great!

    i love remy shand but his cd is a couple of years old so it was hard to find. i'm so glad i found it on half.com because its the best piece of music i've listened to in a while for sure. remy's voice just melts into your soul; his voice is pure raspy jazzy honey. he's got a little curtis mayfield to him so those looking for some soul, funk, jazz, and r&b mixed rolled into 1 this is for you. i really wish he could have made it big....hopefully he won't give up and come out with something else eventually.

    Rocksteady

    It's no secret, the 70's are gone. But Remy Shand's debut album "The Way I Feel" is one hell of a gorgeous flashback to the era of 70's funk and soul. Mixed with a modern hook, this album isn't for just one type of fan. You can be a metal head and still appreciate the diverse talent within these 11 tracks. Recommending this album would be an understatement. It's a necessity.

    Smooth cd with a vintage feel

    I decided to buy this cd after hearing several songs from it on Pandora.com. Immediately, I was drawn to the slippery smooth high vocals, and the mellow vintage r&b sound. This cd is completely written, produced, performed, recorded, and mixed by one very talented man. The one and only catch to this musical delight is that songs tend to resemble each other a little too much, especially if it's the only cd you have on a long car trip. The Way I Feel in a nutshell: smooth, breezy and light - perfect for a carefree day.
