Jaime Hernandez The 1962-D Franklin Half Dollar is one of the more common dates and has the second highest mintage in the series. Therefore, nice examples of this date can easily be acquired for minimal cost. Only examples in MS66 condition become scarce and most examples have probably already been certified and command a high premium. With the Full Bell Lines designation this issue is scarce in MS65 condition with less than about 1,000 examples known. In MS66 FBL condition it is really scarce with less than 2 dozen graded by PCGS in this condition with one known in MS66 FBL and none being known in better condition.

Half Dollar is in excellent shape.

I don't know what to say. I do not know anything about coins. I purchased this fine coin for my great, great, grandson who is 3 years old. I know nothing about coins. I am hoping as he gets older, he will begin to start his own coin collection. Mercury06

My recent search on the avg value of a non-graded Franklin is $8.00, and with shipping being $3.00, that makes the avg purchase $11.00. It sounds good, but my avg tends to be higher. This purchase was close to the avg, therefore, a good buy. Rs.
