About this product

Product Information

Little King's Story tells the tale of an unremarkable young boy named Corobo, who becomes the King of Alpoko after stumbling upon a magical crown in the forest. Players guide this mini monarch on a series of quests to grow his tiny hamlet into a mighty kingdom, conquering neighboring lands and ousting their quirky yet belligerent royalty. But he can't reach his goal of world domination alone, and there are many dangerous umas (unidentified mysterious animals) in the wilderness, so he must use his powers of persuasion to recruit his subjects into a variety of helpful jobs.

Each villager has a unique personality with strong opinions, but all the citizens of Alpoko can be persuaded to dig for treasure, break through environmental obstacles, plow fields, build new structures, or head off into battle. However, citizens expect reciprocity, and performing sub-quests for them serves both as a means to foster good will and as a way to accumulate the currency needed for expansion. Battles take place in real-time, with the King guiding subjects into the action through a series of commands, but though Corobo is a fighter, he is also a lover, and players must help him find the perfect female companion as he travels across the land rescuing a variety of princesses.

Great game for adults and children. A great way to introduce your child to game play.

This is a compelling story game that integrates choices, leadership, organization, delegation, planning, and social engineering without being too involved to be fun. Nothing is too serious in this game and mistakes are graciously forgiven. Build a kingdom and tackle projects and take on missions as a young king guiding farmers, miners, builders, lumberjacks and yes...even chefs! It's a friendly game that has the look and feel of the Dragon Warrior games but with a different approach to turn-based role-play. Organize a group to fight simultaneously while others in your party dig a hole, or prepare a chicken for dinner, all the while sending a child up into a tree to pick apples. Incorporates theological ideas like Catholicism yet demonstrates theosophical ideas like reincarnation, so a bit ...

  • This is a game every Wii owner should own!

At first I just needed a new strategy RPG for my Wii and seeing Little King's Story in action piqued my interest. After seeing a few reviews and looking at a few videos I made up in my mind to purchase this game. One of the best purchases I have made. You start off with Corobo finding an enchanted crown that gave him ultimate persuavsion power over others. You meet up with your three chancellors and the game is off and does not stop. You start by expanding your kingdom just on the piece of land that the kingdom occupies, but after a while you move to more ambitious goals of taking over the world. Other parts that are pretty cool is the battle system, the princess system and the various towns that you built as you expand your kingdom. I can continue to rave about this game but as the ...

  • Great game

I think this is a great game, but does take some getting used to. I had some trouble working out the controls and getting everyone to move as I wanted, but once I figured this out, I love the game. It does a little irritating that you have to continualy go back to your throne to have certain conversations, but overall i love this game.

  • Looks childish, but is really FUN

The game is quite fun to play, and is a must for the Wii. The art style is interesting (especially the cutscenes), and the graphics are okay, since they are the Wii's graphics. The game is easy to get into, and you'll enjoy playing through the story, or simply exploring the world, finding goodies and defeating random monsters. You can also buy upgrades to your town to expand and gain more citizens. Unfortunately, citizens disappear when they die (of course), but for the most part, the game isn't so hard that you'd lose a lot of them. Overall, the game is an enjoyable experience. It isn't actiony, so it might only fit players who can play casual games.

  • Nice game very fun

I've been waiting along time to play this game and so far it's a cute little game and easy controls. Alot of fun
