This beginner's guide in the usual "Dummies" format shows how to set up, acquire, and manage media content; how to play with the iPod, hook it up to other components, and take it on the road; how to use advanced techniques; and how to troubleshoot common problems. Online bonus chapters (available at http: //www.dummies.com/go/ipod4e/) cover MusicMatch Jukebox and online resources. Clear, with just enough background information; recommended for all libraries. The book is in amazing condition, above “acceptable” and shipped in a bubblewrap envelope. Though there are some soft color fading the top and bottom edge, it hardly seemed used and has that library book smell. Glad I took a chance because the description was general and there was no photo. Seller also didn’t provide additional description when asked. But they did promptly cancel my cancellation when asked and sent quickly. Thank you for the Tuesday surprise!

Seller listed this as hardback but sent a paperback version. I received it in a torn plastic mailer that exposed the book so I’m unsure about its initial quality vs any damage that may have occurred during delivery. I attempted contact x2 to replace it with the correct version with no reply. Waste of good money. Don’t trust this seller to ship what you actually buy or package it with care. Bait and switch.

  • what more can you say about the title

I thought this was a good book I didn't know a think about ipods, and it really helped me to understand them better. I bought the book befor I got the Ipod so I would be able to use it as soon as I got the Ipod instead of sitting there wondering how I am suppose to get music on it. I do think some of the stuff the book got into is still over my head, and I think it could of explained a little better on how to put music on your Ipod from other places besides Itunes. I would absolutly recommend someone who is not really familiar with Ipods and Itunes to buy the book.

  • Perfect for the iLliterate family member

While I was on vacation at Myrtle last summer, my brother in law bought an iPod and I became his best friend when I showed him how to use it. That was my mistake because I became the Family Tech Support Hotline. I was so pissed (because some people should stick to 8-track)- I went ahead and purchased the book for him. My technically challenged side of the family stopped calling and the F.T.S. Hotline was reduced to one call a month. Thanks Dummies Books for helping the technology challenged people!!!!!

  • Ipod & Itunes for Dummies

I THINK ALL THE "FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS ARE PRETTY WELL DONE. THEY USE HUMOR TO HOLD YOUR ATTENTION. THIS BOOK IS ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS I THINK. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS AWHILE BUT I ALSO READ SOME TIPS AND IDEAS I HADN'T THOUGHT OF OR HAD THOUGHT OF IN A DIFFERENT WAY. I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD IDEAS. THIS BOOK HAS SOME.

  • Ipod & Itunes for Dummies

I like the ease of accessing the information. It is informative. It has no information about ipod touches, and that wasn't clear to me from reading the description.

  • Helpful Book

This is a great book. Especially when you don't know about your new ipod. The book lets you know what your doing wrong. This book covers everything you'll need to know about your ipod. Thanks, Tammy A.
