Good baseball!! One of the BEST World Series that was played because of the teams.

Even though the quality of some of the broadcasts isn't "live" with the action on the field (some innings the voices (commentators) lags behind the actual plays), I'm relatively pleased.

  • GREATEST of THE GREATS!!!

This Major League Baseball boxed set of the 1975 World Series is a total timeless treasure. Even though it's labeled as a Cincinnati Reds World Series Championship boxed set, it should really be about the 1975 World Series and not just about one team. Major League Baseball Productions have two more boxed sets scheduled too be released of the Reds championships of 1976 and 1990 later on in 2007 and that can be for Reds fans too enjoy and cherish. The 1975 World Series has been hailed as the GREATEST WORLD SERIES ever played and it is JUST THAT!! Five baseball hall of famers played in this World Series in 1975. From the Cincinnati Reds, catcher Johnny Bench, 2nd baseman Joe Morgan (an excellent ESPN baseball analyst for the past 18 years), first baseman Tony Perez and third baseman Pete Rose ...

  • Greatest World Series ever!

The GREATEST WORLD SERIES EVER! It is great that they have packaged this up for us all to enjoy again. Back in 1975, the players did the "little things" that made the game great. The field was full of Hall of Famers, REAL hall of famers, none of whom were on steroids and all of whom loved the game and appreciated their opportunity to play it. These are the original telecasts from NBC w/ NO COMMERCIALS. You get Curt Gowdy, Tony Kubek, and Marty Brenneman (the voice of the Reds). It brought back the good part of my childhood. This is so much better to watch than modern baseball w/ bodies bloated by drugs and egomaniacal players who are more concerned w/ their paychecks than stretching a single into a double. Unfortunately, baseball will never be like this again. Don't miss your ...

  • Game 3 in Cincy

Having been lucky to attend Game 3 at Riverfront Stadium (I was 12 at the time), I can still remember what a wild game this was. 6 home runs were hit. 3 by Boston and 3 by the Reds. This was the game where Ed Armbrister bunted Geronimo to second in the bottom of the tenth inning in which Fisk cried that he was interfered with. I remember there being a delay while the Red Sox argued that Armbrister interfered with Fisk's throw. Didn't matter, official score E2. Later that inning Little Joe singled home the winning run. Now I get the chance to see it again. The only disappointment of this set (if I even dare call it a disappointment) are the two lost non-scoring innings that aren't available in the Major League Baseball Archives. Oh well, at least they were non-scoring. All Reds ...

  • 1975 World Series

An Outstanding trip down memory lane. A MUST HAVE for all Big Red Machine fans (and even for Red Sox fans). The Greatest World Series ever. Game 6 alone makes this a must have set. Who can forget Carlton Fisk waving the ball fair. What a broadcasting line up with Curt Gowdy, Tony Kubek, Joe Garagiola and Dick Stockton. I highly recommend this set of Baseball History. I haven't even really named the stars yet....Bench, Morgan, Perez, Rose, Concepcion, Foster, Griffey and Geronimo against Evans, Lynn, Fisk, Yaztrimski, Doyle, Cooper, Rice, and Tiant
