Perfect for old forensic hubs
I use a tableau forensic hub which needs a 1394-b connector to connect to the host machine. Originally I intended to use a server for this setup but decided I wanted faster speed. I also have a security NAS which uses the older 1394a connection external which is great for backing up data through the card instead of using processing power of the computer. For my purposes this card is excellent and I will continue to use it. Quality: The soldering points are absolutely perfect even better than the soldering on the tableau forensic hub. Everything on this card was soldered with precision without errors. I may in the future purchase another one since one of this quality usually fetches higher prices. Low profile firewire card
The cards went right into my HP elite 8000 and 8200. The braces was tight in one of them. Recognized right away under Windows7,1 and Windows 10 respectively. Tested with an external firewire drive (firewire 800 connection) and both are working fine :-)
