Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing star in this creepy tale of a long-frozen "missing link" discovered in the ice in Northern China. As the frozen relic is being transported to England via a trans-Siberian train, passengers begin turning up dead, their eyes drained of all color. This excellent forgotten horror gem has the look and feel of a Hammer production, though it's Spanish. Oh, and Telly Savalas is in it, too!

    Horror Express a train trip into terror, not to bad for a 70s flick!

    A must have film for fans of Christopher Lee's earlier work, the film was actualy made in (1972) but released in DVD form in (2005), I saw this movie when I was 7 years old and it scared the hell out of me, now that I am a lot older I caught a chance to own this film again for a good price on DVD, it does not have the same effect that it did when I was younger but it is still worth another look. The movie is about an English anthropologist who has discovered a frozen creature in the frozen wastes of Manchuria which he believes may be the missing link of human evolution. He brings the creature back to Europe aboard a Trans-Siberian express train, but during the trip the creature begins to thaw out and then starts to butcher the passengers one by one.     Hidden gem of a movie, this is the version you want

    First off, this movie is extraordinary, of its time but smart, creepy and a sophisticated sci-fi concept wrapped up in a monster flick, with haunting images. Can't beat Cushing and Lee together either! This movie scared the crap out of me but also inspired me as a child, and possibly introduced me to Cushing and Lee. It deserves to be better known than it is. Fans of vintage horror need this. This is the DVD to get. I bought a different edition first and it was awful, looked and sounded like a v old vhs tape, returned it. THIS one is clear picture, great sound, widescreen, looks about as good as a 70s movie can get (without being a hi def restoration), you can see a little grain on a modern flat screen but it's not distracting.
