  • Interesting non standard BJJ/Grapeling stuff

Ok so I was first introduced to this book at my shootfighting class. To explaing my training style, I'm not a BJJ guy we do a cross between kick boxing, BJJ and wrestling moves, im a 95% no Gi kinda guy( Gi vs no gi contorversy? Whats that? :) ). When one of our instructors tried to show us the "New York" and "London" bottom control positions (Of which the New York is covered by this book). It was interesting stuff but hard to get your head round in just a couple of 2 hour sessions. I knew that that instructor had had this book in his bag for the last month or so I went out and got a copy off ebay and boy am I not regretting it. This book is worth it just for the "Mission Control" description and all the moves connected with it, Ive subbed more guys with MC to armbar, MC to triangle ...

  • Jiu - Jitsu Unleashed by Eddie Bravo

This book from unconventional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practioner, Eddie Bravo, covers aspects of the jiu jitsu game in a new & refreshing way. His knowledge of the sport and his ability to take existing techniques and tweak(or Twist)them into almost totally new moves is highlighted in here. Lots of clear pictures + explanations to go along with them, make this one definitely worth reading if you want to improve your game. You may recognize his high-profile student in most of the photos(Joe Rogan) - Fear Factor host and commentator on the Spike channel's UFC, as well as a dedicated jiu jitsu player in his own right.

  • pretty good reference tool

there are alot of moves to learn from, eddie bravo is the same height as me so this was to my advantage. the only neg. thing i can say, is that the pictures aren't as easy to follow from frame to frame...if you haven't done the moves before, transitioning can be difficult, but this book it gives you the general idea...

  • Jiu-Jitsu Unleashed

A well informative book. It describles the attitude you need to be competitive in this art. The illustration could have more detail on how to grasp the opponent. Possible to zoom in on the approach. Over all the book was very useful.

  • Bravo for Bravo

Good informative intro to 10th planet BJJ.
