While messing around in your father's laboratory, you and a friend are suddenly sent back in time all the way back to the days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! Lucky for you, dinosaurs are fond of time travelers like yourselves, and they're willing to help you get back to the future. The only problem is that the Neanderthals aren't too happy about strange visitors from another time, and they've hatched a plot to destroy DinoCity and all its inhabitants. Now you've got to team up with your newfound friends and fight the prehistoric terrorists in order to save the dinosaurs and their home. You can hop on a dinosaur's back and squash the Neanderthals, or you can challenge them to a hand-to-hand fight. In DINOCITY, the fate of the dinosaurs is in your hands!

Enjoyable Platformer
-One of the few Snes games I never played as a kid and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The story is almost non existent but that doesn't really matter too much for what turned out to be a very solid platformer. -You play the part of a kid who gets sucked into a T.V. in his Dad's lab who presumably is some kind of crazy genius who just happened to leave a device in front of his giant TV screen made for sucking unsuspecting kids into fantasy dinosaur worlds. -You can choose between a girl or boy character who have friendly dinosaur mounts right from the get go. The girl has an edge because you can shoot projectiles while the male dinosaur gets up close and personal with a boxing glove type attack. -Lots of challenging platform elements abound and there is a nice variety in level ... -One of the few Snes games I never played as a kid and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. You go through several short levels with a boss level waiting at the end. The bosses are creative and can be very challenging. -The game is unforgiving and never refills your hearts even after beating a boss so I found myself scraping through a boss battle only to die right away on the next stage. -The control is solid and responsive and you need it to be because even the weakest of enemies take a few its to kill. You only have a few continues but there is a password feature which helps ease the pain. -It's not Mario caliber (what is) but it's very fun to play and I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
