Tender and Superb
I have read the books written by Nella Last and still read them. I only wish the DVD could have captured more of the six years of her war time experience. As always, each character no matter how large or small a part played where superb. Only the Brits could do this. Only the Brits. I am an American and enjoy far more the experiences portrayed by the British than by Americans. Just wish this could have been longer.I have read the books written by Nella Last and still read them. Very moving and realistic, but never sentimental. I know this because I lived through all that. Lead actress gives a brilliant and understated performance. I felt as if I was watching real life at times. I will buy several copies as gifts for friends.I just bought another copy, I gave my last to my sister,but now find that I really want to make it a permanent part of my video library.
