"Heavy on mayhem, light on plausibility."
If you are a citizen, you probably would find the characters and violence quite exciting. If you have any knowledge of biker lifestyle or clubs, you would find the series grossly exaggerated and most situations highly suspicious. By the end of the second season, we found ourselves unable to root for anyone or any group of people.

Good, but not the "kids show" I thought
I grew up on DBZ, but hadn't seen most of this earlier stuff. I am loving the story, but there is so much nudity (mostly young naked Goku and partially obscured Bulma) I find it truly distracting. It does not have the censoring that was shown in America when it was on TV. I knew Master Roshi was a pervert, but I did not realize how heavily they lean into that character trait in these earlier episodes. Still, if you can get past that, the story is engaging, and the characters are pretty good. The constant challenges they face and some creative ways they get around them make for some good stories. An emotional roller coaster.
Love this series! Action from beginning to end and emotional. One minute you love the bad guys and the next you hate them for what they do. One of the best series I've ever seen and the characters feel like part of the family after awhile. I would recommend it to anyone.
