    The Atlas Remote machine can be a great item for an easy install and a quick remote setup. Be aware that over time they would develope problems.

    The device works well with Atlas code 83 turnouts for the Mark-series. I even managed to get them to work on the Custom line with great results. A lot of test fitting and a firm glue or screw support is required. The downside is now unstable the housing can be if not handled carefully. They seem to 'fall apart' with a lot of handling. So installing them on the first try is highly recommended. The snap feature is a common design of these in a more compact housing. That makes them great in somewhat tight clearance areas and yards. The plastic throw arm to the turnout bar seems weak. It must be a light weight in order to properly throw the bar, the nickel silver points, and hold them securely to either stock rail. The weak throw arm is not the best when compared to metal versions.

    Model train code 83 switch machine on code 100 turnouts.

    I use these code 83 switch machines on my HO code 100 layout. They work very well, are small, and do the job. Just a little redesigning required.
