The dealer was wonderful, honest and very responsive. The product appears fundementally flawed.
I felt it was time to replace my trusty old Linksys WRT54G. It's been a great router, but alas I felt like an Amish IT manager with it. I installed this router because it had the Cisco name - a name you should be able to trust in the IT world. On the enterprise side I think that is true, but their foray into the small business world seems to rely more on their name then their ability to produce excellent products. As soon as I installed this router I noticed a lot (I mean A LOT) of flickering in my video feeds Youtube video was repeating frames constantly. I switched back to my trusty old Linksys wrt54G and got a nice and smooth youtube back. I put the cisco back and it was a mess again. I access video feeds from security cameras all the time - and this router did the same thing ... I felt it was time to replace my trusty old Linksys WRT54G. The seller from whom I bought it took it back without argument so I was thankful for that. I did buy a new Linksys WRT1200AC and it is performing perfectly.

Great routing performance, tons of features, so-so wifi.
Hopefully this review will help people understand this router. This is a Small Business Router, with VERY high level features for the price. First and foremost..UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!!! Cant stress that enough. The routing performance of this router is top notch (aka NAT translation) This router supports multiple vlans. It also supports flow control and advanced QoS features. If you don't know what those are, and how to use them, this may not be for you. To address some of the complaints about this router. 1. The management interface is slow...No idea where people are getting this, its just as fast as anything else I have ever used. Maybe older firmware versions are slow, not the current one. 2. That it takes 5 minutes to reboot. Also not true. I suspect the people who say this are ... Hopefully this review will help people understand this router. It actually only takes about 30-45 seconds to reboot, but to reconnect that fast, you need to manually reconnect to the wifi. 3. The wifi is slow. This is mainly true. There is a wired only version of this router that came out first. I suspect that this was a marketing decision. IE..the marketing department of Cisco said "hey guys, we need to add wifi to this wired only router to expand sales". Engineering said "well, we can, but to keep it at the price point we want, its gonna be slow". Marketing said "cool with us". In other words, this router is really designed to be used with a Wireless Access Point. The basic point here is this..don't confuse its weak wifi performance with its VERY GOOD routing performance. To sum it up, for the money, this is an EXCELLENT router, provided you 1)know what your doing, and 2)understand what you are buying.
