  • Corvette Summer

I remember when this movie first came out.. I haven't seen it since then! Now I own it, & I rate it pretty good! The video quality is excellent, & Mark Hamill looks so young! I guess that shows both our ages.. Face it, if you Love Clasic car movies like, Two lane Black Top, or Holleywood Nights, Vanishing Point, or Dirty Mary, & Crazy Larry, you'll enjoy this young mans adventure, & the reality of protecting your property! Buy it, Own it, & Watch it! That's my advise, remember, this will be a collectors piece.. Enjoy!

  • Always wanted to get this on DVD but don't know why!

Well, first of all, I think the car is ugly...very ugly!!! I don't get it. The story was ok. I don't know. Had to have it on DVD. I never really thought it was a great movie or any kind of a classic but everytime I saw it on late night TV or stumble across it on cable...had to watch it, even if it was on a week night. I saw it accidently on Ebay and thought wow, gotta get that one. Glad I did. Something about it reminds me of the late 70's and high school and the time of customized vans. I recommend it but not sure why.

  • Cheesy, but fun. Nice cars!

This movie is somewhat underrated, at least in my opinion, I guess that one has to enjoy cars to enjoy the movie. Anyway, it has Mark Hamill in one of his many not-so-famous roles, but he still makes the film watchable for a Star Wars fan. Pretty good chase scene at the end...

  • Fun and Exciting

NOT STAR WARS.. This movie does feature Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) but it is not as intense edge of you seat. For what it is, it was a really good movie. The story is kinda believable, for the 70s. Unless you are a huge Mark Hamill fan, you will not like this movie at all. Annie Potts fan might like it also, but it is no where close to Ghostbusters. Potts does entertain like always.

  • A Car Guys best friend!

I saw this movie at the theater when released. There was a double feature with "Cannonball" (David Carradine) as the opener. Both movies were fun to watch and over the years have been hard to come by. Now both are on DVD. Lots of fast muscle cars and plenty of vintage Las Vegas scenes give Corvette Summer a nastalgic feeling that takes me back to the 70's. I doubt anyone who is new to either movie would appreciate it as us old timers. A few months ago, the original builder of the Vette in the movie was selling custom parts to build your own replica(or he could build one for you) on ebay.
