Lydia Richter is The Leader among the worlds leading doll experts and collectors. She has written many books all of which are worth owning if you love dolls too. This is not just a reference book, it is Full of large color pictures of some of the most beautiful dolls ever made. She has the rare ability to guide you through to a better understanding; in other words this is not just a book full of pretty pictures. As always her books are published at the highest quality standards. One last note, her out of print books demand a premium but they are worth it in my opinion.Lydia Richter is The Leader among the worlds leading doll experts and collectors. Spectacular book for parian and bisque collectors!
I found this book to be an exquisite reference for parian and bisque dolls. However, I collect chinas and the section on my genre was very minute. This being said, I still enjoyed the lovely photography and excellent history given for these dolls. I would buy this book again, but as a china collector, I would like to see "china" come at the end of the title so it isn't expected that there will be more information on this type of doll. I bought this book specifically for identification purposes.I found this book to be an exquisite reference for parian and bisque dolls. I love well written and well illustrated books on collectable items . This book on dolls has wonderful dolls pictured and loads of information about their makers . It would be a great addition to any collectors library .Most of the pictures are in color and the detail shown is superb.

This book is full of great color pictures and is full of details to help identify the makers. It has desctriptions and pictures of doll dresses and differant types of shoes, boots, hair styles...everything needed to learn China and Parian dolls.
