Good...with some minor problems.
I looked for AWHILE for a decent small coffee maker. Like, longer than I should have. EVERY coffee maker has some drawbacks. Here's what you need to know: The coffee is good. It brews quickly. There is only one button to start/stop, and you have to manually shut it off. There is a plate warming feature. There is no 'beep' when the coffee is done. The carafe dribbles when you pour. I compensate for this by opening the lid completely (it's attached and you open it with hinge pressure) and pouring water into the filter from the side, not the spout, no spilling that way...I can't do this when I'm pouring the actual coffee bc it pours too quickly and I spill, so I pour the actual coffee over the sink. Several years ago I purchased a cute red 4 cup Kitchen Aid KCMO55 Coffee Maker,and I have wanted another one just like it. It has been a great coffee maker and I still use it every day. I like it because it delivers nice hot coffee all the time. I use this one that I newly purchased on e-bay for only hot water for my tea. I just put the bag in the decanter and pour fresh cold water in top and the hot water pours all over my tea bag. (I am not much on using microwaves!) Unfortunately Kitchen Aid does not sell the 4-cup one anymore.I double checked on the website of Kitchen Aid Products. The only downside to this one I bought on e-bay is the color is white but I can live with that!. The reason I bought this coffee maker was that it was in a Goodwill or Salvation Army Store, I don't remember which. It looked sturdy and carried the Kitchenaid name. It works well and it is damn quick. I dislike that it is discontinued; I want another one; even though mine still works. I have never owned a 4 cup coffee maker before. It ensures fresh coffee for me at the rate I drink it. A 12 cup allows the coffee to sit too long.The reason I bought this coffee maker was that it was in a Goodwill or Salvation Army Store, I don't remember which. KitchenAid KCM055 4-Cup Coffee Maker
Bought first one back in 1999 or 2000 in White. Still works great! Wanted to update to newer Red one but KitchenAid discontinued making this model in 2002. I think I bought the original for around $30.00. I loved it so much I ended up finding a New one in the box on Ebay and with shipping it ended up costing almost $70.00. Guess I`m either crazy or really like this coffer maker!
