    Major mechanism flaw, difficult to repair

    On paper, this is a great vintage Walkman. But beware of a major flaw in the auto-reverse mechanism. I am currently diagnosing mine and there is a very fragile plastic component in the mechanism that has broken, and the part is unavailable from Panasonic. I have seen this same failure mode in other online discussions of the RX-S28. Unless you're willing to take on some extensive disassembly and 3D printing, I suggest you buy a different model. (I bought mine with the knowledge that it was not working.)
